I have always been fascinated by Thanksgiving. THE day when we pause, reflect and give thanks to all the things we are grateful for. Fascinated not because it’s such an interesting topic, fascinated as to why we don’t do this EVERYDAY!
I have read so much about the benefits of gratitude…

As part of my own spiritual practice, I begin each day with a few minutes of silent gratitude. First thing I do when I am barely awake is I give thanks for all of the wonderful blessings in my life including my family, friends, health, etc…And it sets the tone for my day. It conditions my mind to be appreciative throughout the day. It reminds me how blessed I am and that remains on my mind all day. This particular practice has been a game-changer for me. I stress less, my anxieties have all but gone away and I am just so appreciative to wake up everyday and be given another chance to enjoy all of the miracles of being alive.
So maybe on this Thanksgiving while you are giving thanks, commit to making it a daily practice and see how gratitude is not only a wonderful way to make positive change in the world, but within yourself!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Namaste,
Mike
